Children at the show

The venue describes the show as suitable for all ages and asks children to stay quiet so as not to disturb the performance. Children's tickets are cheaper, according to the venue. Its entry rules say children aged 0 to 4 do not have a reserved seat, and management may assign them one if the venue is not at full capacity. So the age of your youngest child matters when you book, and it is worth checking the ticket types before you pay.

Whether it suits your child

The show is about an hour of song, guitar and dance, with no meal during it. The venue says no food or drink is served while the show runs, which suits children who can sit still but is hard for those who need a snack. Flamenco is loud in the right places, with stamping and clapping, and quiet in others. If your child is happy to watch for an hour, the show is a good introduction to the dance and the music.

A family or small party on one booking

Seats are allocated in order of booking, according to the venue. If your party books in one go, in a single booking, you are more likely to be placed together than if each person books separately on different days. This is a sensible habit rather than a rule the venue states, so for a family with a child who needs to sit beside an adult, write to the venue before booking and ask.

Larger groups: booking with the venue

The venue treats larger parties as groups, with their own rates and a request form, and it offers private shows for very large parties. You send the party size, the date and some alternatives, the time you prefer, where the group is from and any special requirements such as access, languages or dietary needs. The venue says its group team replies within a day and that quotes are free and without obligation. Book well ahead for high season, Holy Week and festivals.

What a group package can add

For groups, the venue says it can add a welcome drink with a tasting of local products, dinner through partner restaurants in the historic quarter, and a guided walk through the Albaicín. It also mentions introductory talks, basic hand-clapping and rhythm classes and meetings with the artists after the show. Introductions to the show are in Spanish and English, with other languages possible given notice. These are group arrangements made with the venue, not part of an individual ticket.

Birthdays and celebrations

A birthday or an anniversary does not change the ticket. The venue's group page lists extras that can mark an occasion, such as a welcome drink and a tasting, and its private shows suit large parties. For a small party, the practical plan is to book the show, then arrange a meal at a restaurant nearby before or after. Plaza Nueva sits in the historic centre, so there is no shortage of places within a short walk.

Accessibility for a mixed party

The venue says it has accessible entrances and toilets for people with reduced mobility, separate toilets for men, women and people with disabilities, and air conditioning on each floor. It does not set out the route to individual seats, so a party that includes a wheelchair user should write to the venue before booking and describe the seating needed. That also gives the venue time to say what it can arrange.

Who this isn't for

If you are planning a dinner for a large party with a private room, this is not the guide or the booking for it: contact the venue directly about a group package. And if your group needs to sit all together at the front, ask the venue, because this ticket does not promise a particular row.
